After living in the UAE for the past few months, I love exploring Cape Town and sitting at Maria’s actually made me feel like I was in a different country, sipping vino and eating delicious food in the middle of the street on a beautiful Winter’s day!
The menu at Maria’s is authentically Greek with a variety of tapas platters and Greek snacks. It was difficult to settle on a choice as everything looks amazing and sounds delicious but we definitely made the right choice with really amazing meals.
I had the slow roasted lamb pita with tzatziki and a greek salad (and the lamb was absolutely melt in your mouth amazing!) and my wife Ritza had the mussels with a cream, white wine, red onion, paprika and parsley sauce(which is her first choice wherever we choose to dine) and this mussel starter made it to the top of her list for one of the best mussel starters she’s ever had!
No meal is complete without dessert and sweet treats with chocolate always ends up on my table! We shared the Ravani Chocolate Cake which is wheat-free and served with cream – not to sweet and simply delicious – definitely highly recommended!
